Hanoi, Vietnam 🇻🇳
Hanoi is a city in Vietnam that has a lot to offer as history-wise and also culture-wise. You can visit the temples all around the city and also the many different attractions for the tourists like Train Street. Vietnam is also a country that makes traveling there cheap. The Vietnamese like to drive by motorcycles, that also means that the streets are packed with them. You can see so much more than I can say in this post. I would tell you that you should just walk around Hanoi and see the lake and the old part of this beautiful city when it is still standing. Hanoi is a great city for people that want to see Asia, but watch out on what you eat there and check if you need a visa to enter Vietnam.
Hanoi, Vietnam, offers rich history and culture, with temples, attractions like Train Street, and affordable travel. Explore the city on foot, enjoy the lake and old town, but be mindful of food and visa requirements.
London, UK 🇬🇧
London, a city that many people want to go to, but is this city amazing? I can say to you it is a city that has much to see and it is worth going there. I was just there for 24 hours, but in this time I got to see a lot of amazing stuff, like the Big Ben or the famous Opera, which is a must-see. Going around London is more than easy; tap in the subway with your card, and it is not expensive, 5.80 pounds to go from the airport to the city center. The trains come every few minutes, and it is faster than a taxi or Uber. London is one of the most known cities. You can see a lot of structures and buildings that are famous. I recommend London as a must-see, and it is so beautiful to see a city like this with many happy people and shops. But there is also a dark side of London, many phones get stolen there, so if you’re there, protect your phone there.
Summary
London is a must-see city with many famous structures and buildings. While easy to navigate and affordable, visitors should watch out for phone theft.
San Francisco, USA 🇺🇸
San Francisco is one of the most known cities in the USA. With its houses and buildings on a mountain, you can say walking is a workout. But San Francisco has some of the most impressive structures, with the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, and the cable car, which is a must-ride, but also some less known ones like the Fisherman’s Wharf, where Pier 39 is. SF is a safe city in most parts; you can easily do it by walking to most places. It is clean and looks like in the movies. It can be quite expensive to get hotels and food. I recommend going to San Francisco, especially with children or people that came from Highway 1, to stay there until the flights back. For transportation, you can use the Uber app.
Summary
San Francisco is a safe and clean city with impressive structures like the Golden Gate Bridge and cable car. It can be expensive, but is recommended for visitors, especially those with children.
Highway 1
The famous Highway 1 I’ve already talked about in this scenic route along the west coast in last year’s Los Angeles post, but I will talk about it now again in more detail. The Highway 1, for those who don’t know, is a highway in California that connects the west coast. When you’re already in California, I will recommend you drive on the Highway 1 from Los Angeles to San Francisco. It is a route which brings you through a lot of small villages where you should do stops. I did this 380-mile (600 km) tour in 3 days with stops in a lot of places. Sadly, because of the LA fires, the first stretch till Malibu is mostly burned down, and at a lot of places, it is in restoration. Although this is the situation, it is still fun to drive on there, with Big Sur, Santa Barbara, and Carmel being good stops for food, rest, and profile photos. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a must-do. I recommend this route for families with children, people that want an adventure you don’t forget, or people that want to relax, it is good for everyone.
Summary
Highway 1 in California, a scenic route from Los Angeles to San Francisco, is recommended for its picturesque villages and stops like Big Sur, Santa Barbara, and Carmel. Despite some areas being affected by fires, the drive remains enjoyable and is suitable for families, adventure seekers, and those seeking relaxation.
Los Angeles, USA 🇺🇸
So I was again in Los Angeles for vacation after the LA fire, and I need to say not much has changed. The people in Los Angeles, especially in Venice, do a lot of sport at the beach, and all of those people could tell you a story of a lifetime. The rest of LA hasn’t changed much. Besides that, there are fewer tourists. All the landmarks are in good shape. I especially recommend you the Griffith Observatory; a small hint: it is free on weekends. For the plane spotters under us, the IN-N-OUT at the Airport is a great spotting point. But watch out in LA; the prices have become more expensive than 1 year ago. But overall, I can just recommend LA. Even with all the homelessness and problems, it is a great city, and of the fire, you don’t see much of it in LA. I recommend the city for families that want to see the West Coast.
Summary
Los Angeles remains largely unchanged post-fire, with fewer tourists and higher prices. The Griffith Observatory is a free weekend attraction, and the IN-N-OUT at the airport is a good spot for plane watching.
Vatican City, Vatican 🇻🇦
Recently I was in the Vatican on a day where Pope Leo made an announcement. The mass of people was incredible and stunning at the same time. Because of the big crowd, I couldn’t get that close. The moment is really magical when you see this important person. I can just recommend the experience even though you can’t understand Italian. But still, I wanted to see the Vatican up close, so I went to the next one to get a better picture for my memory, and on the 2nd day, I saw the mass of the building and how massive it is, and I think it is a must-see with all the details it makes it so cool to see. I especially recommend to go in the Spring holidays because there are less events in the Vatican when you want to see the Pope then go in the Easter holidays. Careful it can get really warm and crowded in the Vatican so please take water with you.
Summary
Attending a papal announcement in Vatican City was a magical experience, despite the large crowd. The author recommends visiting during the Spring holidays for fewer events and cooler weather.
Rome, Italy 🇮🇹
So I was again in Rome, but I did already post about it, so I will keep it short. Rome is as beautiful as last time, so it didn’t change a bit. When you are hungry in Rome, you have many options; with every restaurant, the food gets better. It is still a very touristic place, especially at the Colosseum and other famous places. The city is very warm, but everybody is having a good time. But especially in Rome, you need to watch out for your belongings, and I even saw people taking the phones from others at the Trevi Fountain. But overall, I recommend Rome because of its monuments, streets where you can shop, and more.
If you need help finding the best route for Rome dm me on Instagram.
Summary
Rome is beautiful and offers great food, but it’s very touristy and pickpocketing is common. Despite this, the city is recommended for its monuments and shopping streets.
Cologne Cathedral, Germany 🇩🇪
This is a church in Cologne, Germany. It is one of Germany’s best-known structures.
It is called the Cologne Cathedral and it is massive. With a stunning height, it is a must-see in Cologne. It is free to visit, but there is one catch: you need to have a small enough backpack; else, you’ll need to store it for 2 euros. It is stunning to see and crazy to think that people built it. I would recommend the Big Church of Cologne.
Summary
The Cologne Cathedral in Germany is a massive and a must-see structure. Free to visit, but backpacks must be stored for 2 euros.
Jerusalem, Israel 🇮🇱
Jerusalem is one of the cities with the most history and one of the most holy cities in the world. It is a city with the start of so many religions. As an example, the Golgotha church, the Western Wall, and the mosque. Jerusalem is a vibrant ancient city which is also unique and a surreal experience visiting it. It has a lot to offer: the old part is filled with culture and old streets. There is also a church on the place where Jesus was crucified. The mood is over the top. Everything feels different in Jerusalem, and also the other structures there. There are many different cultures in the city, and it is just fantastic to be there. Right now, it is a good time to be there because there are little to no tourists. There are many restaurants with cultural food depending on the place where you are in the city. I recommend the city to those who want to see some old but fascinating buildings and want to learn about the religions.
Summary
Jerusalem, a city steeped in history and religion, offers a unique and surreal experience. With its vibrant culture, ancient streets, and religious significance, it is a must-visit for those interested in history and religion.
(I am not giving my opinion on wars or something else.)
Israel 🇮🇱
Israel is a place where almost all religions meet, but it has also had a lot of conflicts with neighboring countries. This does not reflect on the country. It is filled with beaches and history. It doesn’t feel like it is in Europe but also not like Asia. I especially love the cities of Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem; they have something that feels different from everything else. I recommend the café Noir, but make a reservation. You feel pretty safe in the country, and the situation is not always like the media tells you. I think that Israel is worth a visit, especially now because there are little to no tourists in the big cities, and that means that you can see more with fewer crowds.
Summary
Israel, a country of diverse religions and historical significance, offers a unique blend of European and Asian influences. Despite conflicts, it is safe and worth visiting, especially now with fewer tourists.
(In this post, I am not going to tell something about the war, and I left it out of the review.)
Edersee, Germany 🇩🇪
The Edersee is a little river in Hesse, Germany, and the surrounding area is filled with history. You have a castle that you can visit. But first of all, the area is good for hiking or for people that don’t want to go to places where tourists are often. There are many attractions in the area within a 45-min drive. And you can see everything from stunning views for profile pictures to a zoo, or a boat ride on the lake. There is also food, but not many restaurants. I recommend 2-4 days in an Airbnb to see all the stunning attractions and it is also great for families with a little budget and who want to see some nature.
Summary
Edersee, a small river in Hesse, Germany, offers hiking, scenic views, and family-friendly attractions. A 2-4 day stay in an Airbnb is recommended.
Marburg, Germany 🇩🇪
Marburg is a small city in Hesse, Germany 🇩🇪, and it is known for its university, rich history, and its castle. The city is built on top of a mountain, which led to steep inclines and terrain. It is a great place to visit; it is clean, the architecture is great, and the people are friendly. It is really peaceful, and I would recommend Marburg for families that don’t want to spend a lot of money but want to see the good places without other tourists or people that want to make a road trip through Germany. But still, 1-2 and a half days are more than enough for Marburg.
Summary
Marburg, a small city in Hesse, Germany, is known for its university, rich history, and castle. It is a peaceful and clean place with great architecture, making it a great destination for families seeking a budget-friendly getaway.
Paris, France 🇫🇷
I have already made a post about Paris, so I will keep it short.
Paris is one of the cities of love. I had the opportunity again to visit this city, and after the Olympics, it had changed a ton. The Olympic Rings are placed now in front of the Eiffel Tower, and it gives the city a nice touch. But the homeless people are now more visible than ever, and the city is full of tourists. But Paris is still as beautiful as ever and worth a visit. And when you are in Paris, you can visit the soccer matches in the stadium; it is a great atmosphere.
Summary
Paris, the City of Love, has changed since the Olympics, with the Olympic Rings now adorning the Eiffel Tower. Despite the increased visibility of homeless people and tourists, the city remains beautiful and worth visiting.
New year in the Alps, Germany 🇩🇪
This year I celebrated the New Year in a town in the German 🇩🇪 Bayern Nesselwang. They celebrate new year by climbing on the highest mountain in Germany the Zugspitze. It is beautiful to see all the fireworks 🎇 and all the people celebrating the new years.
Munich, Germany 🇩🇪
As in my last post about Munich I told almost everything so I just am telling you the new things. In Munich especially in the German winter session It is full in the main tourist attraction and it is hard to see something not beautiful the churches and so on is so on. It is still worth checking Munich out because is is so peaceful and beautiful.
Summary
Munich, despite being crowded during winter, is still worth visiting for its peacefulness and beauty.
Italy 🇮🇹
So let’s start with Rome. Rome has much to offer the fact is that it is a quite old city and the country with also. They have old and famous Houses structures and monuments. You can always do a sightseeing tour and go in the monuments but I wouldn’t recommend it. When you’re already in Rome I would recommend to visit the smallest country in the world Vatikan City🇻🇦 . It is also shocking what the slaves build back in the day. Now let’s go to lake Garda. The Lake Garda is a beautiful place and the City ´s around it are so beautiful. Sadly it is filled with Germans. But still you should give it a visit.
Summary
Rome offers sightseeing tours and a visit to Vatican City. Lake Garda is beautiful, despite being crowded with Germans.
New York, USA 🇺🇸
New York is the city with the most residents in all of America. And it is a city with 2 sides. The one with the stunning monuments and buildings, and the one with a lot of crime. But to be honest, as long as you don’t drive the subway at night alone, nothing will happen. You can expect a lot from New York; you may know Broadway, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, or the World Trade Center, which are all a must-see. It is so stunning to see all these buildings and to know that mankind built this. New York has a lot of history, some bad like the 9/11 attacks where over 3,000 people died or good ones like the Sully landing where a plane landed on the water. It is fairly easy to get to New York because of the railroad system or the big 3 airports: JFK, LGA, and EWR. For Europeans, I recommend going to New York for vacation because the trip takes 6 hours from London.
Summary
New York City, America’s most populous, boasts iconic landmarks like Broadway, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, and the World Trade Center. Despite its rich history, including both tragedy and triumph, the city is easily accessible and a popular vacation destination for Europeans.
California, USA 🇺🇸
The USA, the United States of America, has some of the most beautiful places on planet Earth, but getting there is another story. You can expect to spend some time in the immigration line. At many airports, you need to wait 2 hours. But finally in it is a living dream. I would recommend going to Los Angeles, California. It has some of the most beautiful places and attractions. You get good weather, Long Beaches, and Hollywood. I would recommend renting a car and driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco. It is a 5-hour drive, and when you drive a few hours a day with some stops on the way, it is a trip of a lifetime with epic views. Once in San Francisco, you can drive with the tram around San Francisco, and I’d say that San Francisco is more beautiful than Los Angeles. There, you can also see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. And of course, it has some of the most famous architecture and monuments. Watch out for pick pockers that can take your money, phone, and more.
Summary
Traveling to the USA, particularly Los Angeles and San Francisco, offers breathtaking landscapes and attractions. While the immigration line can be lengthy, the journey from LA to SF by car is a memorable experience.
Trip to Sint Maarten 🇸🇽
In April I flew to the under spotters famous Sint Maarten island. The island is famous for its airport and Maho beach where planes land 20 ft above beach visitors. I flew with Air France and when it was time to land our plane diverted to a nearby island due to strong wind guest. In Sint Maarten you can only land on 1 side and the runway is pretty short this is the reason why we diverted to a nearby island. Now to the island. Sint Maarten is pretty expensive and not always as beautiful everywhere course in 2021 a hurricane hit the island and destroyed 80%. The residents are quite funny. Maho beach should be on your bucket list because it is a beach for its own. At the end it is great to visit Sint Maarten in the Caribbean. But not in the Hurricane season.
Trip to Paris, France 🇫🇷
France is a great place to travel. I was there about 6 to 7 times and it didn’t disappoint. Especially Paris the capital has much to offer. Like the Eifel tower or the Notae Dame. Please watch out on your phones and cash because the pick pockers are not slowing down. The main airport Charles de Gaulle airport is build weird you need more time when you catch a flight.
Trip to Munch, Germany 🇩🇪
Munch is a great city to travel. The city has a big international airport and is easy to reach it is especially beautiful in the German winter season. There are many attractions in Munich like the popular Oktoberfestival. The flight there was also my first flight alone.
Trip to Vietnam 🇻🇳
On the 10 of 2023 I Flow to Vietnam with Emirates via Dubai and I gotta say it is Not Bad. First of all they upgraded my 7 h flight from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Hanoi (Vietnam) to business class on the B777-300 The seat was great and comfortable in a lay flat position. I would say that Asia is way cheaper to travel than the US. Vietnam has much to offer you can get for your money the food is great and the culture is even better. The food is great you can get 3 noodle soups for 10 dollars with tax included the country is filled with monuments, but do not rent a car there just trust me on that point.
Trip to London, GB 🇬🇧
London is a great city to visit and has much to offer the Big Ben the London eye and so much more. London is easy to get there you can take the car train from France. You can fly to London city airport or Heathrow airport that is 40 minutes out with a subway. Please watch in London out for your belongings there are pick pockers. In London you don’t need pounds you can pay everywhere with your card.
